April Hill- Love 360

April Hill's cd Love 360 dropped late 2007. A native of Atlanta, GA, Ms. Hill is a graduate of Howard University. This 10 Track introduction to her style of Spoken Word/Jazz/Funk/Realness/Disco is a great addition to your collection. April decided to leave her career at Goldman-Sachs on Wall Street to follow her dream of becoming a singer/songwriter/producer. Her first cd is a sure hit. To have done a Marvin Gaye track and made it sound like your own was courageous and beautiful. “I want you" has April's own stamp of seduction and sexiness to it. "Manipulation" is a track about how a brother tends to use his GOD given GIFT to keep her mind gone until she finally realizes that it’s all "manipulation". The dance tracks "No More Tears" and "The Search" made me think I was listening to Donna Sommers in "Thank God It's Friday". I love the track “I Just Can't Stop Loving You." Admitting to your love (in a relationship that is on the brink of ending because of past hurts) that you are willing to fight to give it a second chance is a major step. If you've ever been faced with that in a relationship, this is definitely the "hallmark" love song for you. "Feelin You"- a very soothing track- is about her thinking on her other half and about how she really loves having him in her life. It has a Chrisette Michele touch to it- not to compare the artists because both have their own uniqueness. The jazzy cut "You Got Me" is a nice song to vibe to. Don't just take my word for it check out aprilhill.com or her myspace page. The Cd is available for purchase on CD Baby,Amazon,Circuit City, and almost anywhere music is sold.
